On this episode Patrick sits down with Dani Tricarico, former Executive Director of ASEA, to talk about the building blocks of entrepreneurial ecosystems, the particularities of the Argentine ecosystem and a call for more collaboration amongst the countries in Latin America.
Dani has shaped the Argentine ecosystem over the last decade negotiating and advocating on behalf of the 35,000 members of ASEA (Argentine's Association for Entrepreneurs)  for a fairer playing field for entrepreneurs and SME's in the country, his journey is truly inspiring and shows how one can have a universal impact across the private and public sector.

On this episode you will learn about:

  • What are the main ingredients to build a successful emerging entrepreneurial ecosystem and why public policy is important to level the playing field
  • Why Argentine tech entrepreneurs have outperformed their peers in the region in the midst of tremendous economic volatility
  • Unicorns are not the sole indicator for a flourishing ecosystem, you need both, success cases as inspiration and to create attention abroad, but 70% of the GDP in Latam remains dominated by SMEs, successful SMEs are part of the equation
  • A Latin-American identity and collaboration on entrepreneurial policies are key to create a market that is of significant size and interest for international investors
